Fermentapples

Partners John Gardner and Angela Moore are interested in and fascinated by the natural products produced through the process of fermentation and preservation of foods using minimal inputs. For the past three autumn seasons, we have been pressing apples to understand and become familiar with small scale apple cider production. This year we would like to take the fermentation process a step further to produce apple cider vinegar. We are using apples from A & A Orchard in Green Forest Arkansas where they have utilized IPM techniques and technologies on their trees. We hope to continue our exploration and refinement of apple cider production and sharing our successes through support from nearby families and communities.

While we continue to perfect our cider recipe, we will be offering homemade vanilla extract for the fall baking season.
